D.R.A.M. and Lil Yachty’s “Broccoli” was one of the songs of last summer, a grinning, tipsy pop song with a thick drawl. It turned Shelley Marshaun Massenburg-Smith into something of a star as well, building up to the the release of Big Baby D.R.A.M. with a huge radio hit.
D.R.A.M. is now so much of a star, in fact, that fellow acronym PETA have invited him in for a vegetable-themed collaboration, bringing him into the realm of Paul McCartney and Black Sabbath as a celebrity spokesperson. The minute-long commercial makes full use of the fact that broccoli is both a vegetable and a euphemism for cannabis.
