Currently, Delhi’s colder than an ex-boyfriend dissing you at a New Year’s Eve party. With its temperature dipping to about 2.4 degrees on December 28, Delhi is experiencing its coldest winter in over 119 years, and the Indian Meteorological Department has warned that it’s only going to get worse in the days to come.

But when the going gets tough, the tough get smarter. While many people have the option to simply dial up the heat and rest their warm butts on heated car seats, the same does not apply for auto-rickshaws, who have no choice but to succumb to the shivering winds. So, one autowala decided that the best way to battle the biting cold was to cover all open parts of his autorickshaw with bubble wrap.

In a post shared by a Twitter user, this autowala’s unique solution not only acts as a DIY stand-in for airbags but also protects the passenger from feeling the wrath of the winter winds. And if this isn’t an ode to the typical Indian ingenuity we like to call jugaad, we don’t know what is.
