Artists Dora Budor and Maja Cule on a segway. Photo by Liz FillardiEvery one at any art opening who’s attracted to women is generally thinking about at least one of three things—where the bathroom is, when the drinks will run out, and how to talk to the babe working at the front of house. Thanks to WorldWide Gallery Traxx 2012, the new mixtape from Croatian visual arts duo Dora Budor & Maja Cule, we get a rare glimpse into the world of that rare creature, the wild “gallerina.”The tape features heavy hitting producers like Brenmar, Pictureplane, & @LILINTERNET—each contributing artists pieces together original tracks based around over 100 recorded telephone conversations with gallerists worldwide. The ensuing mixtape reads like a mega-groovy, genre-bending meta-journey into the abstract space of the "white cube,” where you can trance out to airy house while learning about “gallery interiors, from the colors of the walls to the material that’s used for the flooring.”It sounds sort of boring I guess, but the tape is like an 8-bit Scotty Pippen backflip-dunking over Magic Johnson - totally on fire. You can stream the mixtape below, or download the whole thing .@emersonyeah
