After a couple of lackadaisical defensive efforts against the Celtics, Stan Van Gundy finally had enough when Avery Bradley blew right by Jodie Meeks and the rest of the Pistons just sort of watched. He immediately called timeout and ESPN cameras tried to eavesdrop on his pep talk which began thusly: “This is fucking ridiculous!”

Van Gundy proceeded to tear into Joel Anthony and the rest of his squad, croaking “you haven’t set one screen…you haven’t gotten a piece of fuckin’ anybody!” and then ESPN got wise and headed to commercial. Van Gundy’s motivational tactics didn’t pay off this night, however, and the Celtics beat Detroit 113-103.
