Matt Healy from The 1975 Will "Send Nudes" If You Vote Labour

Not sure if that's an incentive or a deterrent but vote anyway.

Not that we've been going on about it or anything but there's a general election on in the UK today lads, and if you're registered to vote it's very important that you go and do that RIGHT NOW. This post will still be here when you get back.

Have you done it? OK good, you may read on.

"Young people" are the demographic most likely to sway the vote to the left – the preferable result, now that it's been proven that Tory austerity literally does not work – which means that people who have platforms which make them visible to "young people" have kind of a responsibility to get them out to the polls.

Few have taken that responsibility as seriously as Matt Healy of The 1975 fame. Though he admits that he's unsure about how to use his position to affect widespread good, he does have one thing to offer: nudes.

It's a pretty good offer. If nothing else incentivises you, maybe Matt Healy's nudes will. Alternatively, the idea might make you recoil from the idea of even voting at all. Ignore that impulse, and drag your sorry ass to your polling station (if you didn't do it before, when I gave you the time to). I for one, however, refuse to underestimate the political power of nudes. Exercise your democratic right. A vote for Labour is a vote for nudes.
