According to reports, grime MC Stormin has died. His rep confirmed the news to Metro.co.uk on Monday morning. As an original member of N.A.S.T.Y. Crew alongside grime giants like Kano, D Double E, and Jammer, Stormin was a trailblazer for the genre that is rapidly coming to define contemporary British youth culture.In 2016, Stormin revealed that he was battling skin cancer (his 2016 album #BRB (Be Right Back) addressed the topic in depth). Though he later wrote that he was cancer free, last month he posted on Instagram about a hospital stay.Fellow artists, including Skepta and Frisco, have paid tribute to Stormin and his legacy on social media. Birmingham grime artist Jaykae tweeted, "No more pain for the soldier that is Stormin. Such an inspiring, strong man. God bless you and your family bro may you rest in peace," while Toddla T simply wrote "Icon.
