Cry-Baby #1: The parents of the Encinitas Union School District
(via)The incident: A school introduced a yoga class. The appropriate response: If you're a student: yoga. If you're a parent: nothing. The actual response: A group of parents whose children attend the school filed a complaint, and are now considering taking legal action.Seven district parents and a lawyer spoke out at a school-board meeting last Tuesday, complaining that the classes were "religious indoctrination". Which pushed Hinduism on to their children, and violated their religious freedom.School officials responded that no religion was involved, but have agreed to launch an investigation. Researchers from the University of San Diego will study the classes in order to try and establish whether any religion is involved. Which seems like a very, very good use of everyone's time.Andy Vick, who has three children at the school said of the situation "I will not allow my children to be indoctrinated by this Hindu religious program… Because of this, you're forcing me to segregate my children." He went on to say that children who have been removed from the yoga classes by their insane parents are being bullied, before going on to compare the situation to Nazi Germany. Nazi. Fucking. Germany. Which, as everyone knows, all came about because a school fitness program spiralled waayyyyyy out of control.Cry-Baby #2: Sy ParkerThe incident: A doctor in Middlesborough was asked to leave a gym, because she was dressed improperly. The appropriate response: Changing outfits. The actual response: She contacted her local newspaper so the entire world could find out about this shocking violation of her human rights.Sy (pictured above, in the offending outfit) was working out last week at DW Sports Fitness Club in Middlesborough when a member of staff informed her that the skirt she was working-out in violated the gym's dress code, and she would need to leave. In an interview with her local paper, Sy said “I asked why and if it was in their terms and conditions and she came back and showed me them which said you had to wear appropriate clothing for exercise… I was shocked. I have worn a skirt to exercise in before – there is more freedom to move. I was also wearing massive pants underneath – I didn’t want to be flashing anything inappropriate.” She then added, "The next day I went in wearing tiny shorts and a crop top and no one said anything about that."So, essentially, what has happened here is a lady broke her gym's rules, and was asked to leave. She then returned the next day, didn't break any rules, and was not asked to leave.I guess the biggest question here is: what kind of psychopath works out in denim? And she is a doctor? Should that even be allowed? I'm not sure I would want medical assistance from a person with judgement that poor.Who is the bigger cry-baby?
