Good morning, America. Welcome to the VICE Sports World News Roundup. Be sure to stop by daily for your morning headlines.

It's the 27th of August, 2015, and Sepp Blatter is still president of FIFA.

Everton has rejected Chelsea's latest bid for defender John Stones. It's notable because Stones submitted a request to be transferred to Chelsea, which Everton apparently aslo denied. It's not often you see want-away players kept at a club.

Now that Mario Balotelli has left Liverpool, his dirty laundry is being aired. According to the Liverpool Echo, Balotelli faked an training injury so he could get a new iPhone, among other transgressions.

Dutchman Tom Dumoulin took the red jersey after stage five of the Vuelta a España, Spain's version of the Tour de France. Colombian Johan Esteban Chaves Rubio is in second by one second. Chaves' compatriot, Nairo Quintana Rojas, remember, finished second at the Tour.

The big news after last night's Champions League Qualifiers is that Leverkusen overturned it's 1-0 deficit to Lazio, winning 3-0 at home. Manchester United dispatched Club Brugge 4-0. Rooney scored a hat trick. Chicharito, on the other hand, was terrible. He missed a wide open net at one point and, later, a penalty.
