Known for not giving interviews, the elusive Beyoncé has opened up to GARAGE Magazine to talk about her love of art, on the occasion of her special-edition cover designed by Urs Fischer.“I think defining art is a really personal thing," Beyoncé tells GARAGE. "I try not to think about it too much. It makes me think of a Basquiat quote I read somewhere that said, ‘I don’t think about art when I’m working. I try to think about life.” She and Fischer didn’t work directly together on the collaboration, but rather, it was facilitated by GARAGE’s creative team, who has a history of bringing together artists from different disciplines—this couldn’t have happened anywhere else.
