The sun is shining and the light breeze makes strolling around the neighborhood super pleasant—definitely catch the ferry if you haven’t headed down yet.Brazilian Creator Emicida just got off stage at Tobacco Warehouse, where United Visual Artists’ Origin is already blinking and reacting to curious onlookers. If you’re around, make sure to stop by the massive sound sculpture later as the blinking LEDs only get more mesmerizing as day turns to night.
Across the street, Jonathan Glazer and J. Spaceman with Undisclosable and One of Us’ immersive sound installation (that debuted at Coachella) will make you feel as if you’re floating on into another world, and be sure to catch Life on Mars Revisited by David Bowie, Mick Rock and Barney Clay… it will make you feel as if you’re in a cage surrounded by Ziggy Stardust himself.Over at Powerhouse, we’re screening Night Fishing, by Korean brothers PARKing CHANce (PARK Chan-wook and PARK Chan-Kyong), which was shot entirely on an iPhone.
