You may have seen the short film “Words” by Everynone as it was circulating across the internet earlier this year. The film and filmmakers also recently made an appearance in the Guggenheim’s YouTube Play video biennial. “Words” is a beautiful, sentimental short film compiled of original and found clips arranged by word association—painting an audio/visual collage of words and emotions that seamlessly flow into each other. Now, the filmmakers have released a new version of the film, “Re:Words,” compiled entirely out of found clips sourced from YouTube. Much of the original footage remains, but new videos and words have been added into the mix, and the new adaptation is just as successful as the original.
