As 2010 comes to a close, we’re left reminiscing about the year that was. And there’s no better way to recap all the momentous events that occurred in 2010 than with this interactive YouTube-based video game. A bold and humorous undertaking from the comedy writer/director duo The Fine Brothers, the 2010 Year In Review Shooting Range serves as both time capsule and a kind of absurd current events digest. The shooting range consists of five different games based on five memorable news and pop culture stories from the past year — The World Cup, BP Oil Spill, the LOST finale, The Bed Intruder, and the Trapped Chilean Miners. To unlock each game you must correctly answer a trivia question about the event, only then will you be granted the opportunity to relive the year-defining news story in all its 8-bit glory, with yourself at the center of all the action. The game is the most recent project in The Fine Brothers’ quest to “create innovative and envelope-pushing interactive content online.” And we applaud any creative effort that results in a Bed Intruder role playing game.
