Justin Bieber Gets Crushed Against Glass, Snoop Dogg Says “Motherfucker,” and Hockey Seems Kinda Cool Now

All-Star Weekend is a surprising joy.

This weekend is NHL All-Star weekend and, wait, hear me out, yesterday was actually pretty fun. Building up to today's main event, the professional-grade All-Star Game, the NHL put on a sideshow, as they do every year, with a gaggle of hockey-loving celebrities and musical guests.

Let's begin at the All-Star skills competition, something that wouldn't ordinarily make me switch over from that rerun of Office Space on a Saturday afternoon unless I knew that Snoop Dogg was going to shout the word "motherfucker" at a live audience.

So, congratulations to Snoop for livening up the skills competition. How can you top that, National Hockey League? I'm turning back to Office Space any minute. Justin Bieber getting his face smushed into the glass by a professional hockey player literally twice his size? Fuck yeah.

That man there, captured brilliantly by AP's Mark J Terrill, grinning maniacally, is Chris Pronger, a defenseman whose playing days were ended by a horrible eye injury. He dealt with post-concussion syndrome multiple times; it's a miracle that the man is skating again. And there he was, risking it all for the viewing public.

Truly, he is a Canadian hero.
