Ruth's Chris Steak House 'One Percent Discount Per Winning Point Differential' for Michigan vs. Rutgers Game Backfires

They should definitely let Michigan players get the discount as originally promised—they'll need a lot of protein after last night.

Imagine a whole field of cows just vanish at the drop of a hat. Well, that hat may as well have a giant yellow M on it, because Michigan pretty much ensured a cow genocide last night, after Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Ann Arbor, Michigan promised a promotion that they might be regretting right now.

Ruth's Chris Ann Arbor told fans via their Facebook page that they would offer up a one percent discount per winning point differential, which sounds like a sweet deal for both sides. Get a bunch of loyal rah, rah customers and all that. But the discount might be a bit steep right now, seeing as how Michigan DEMOLISHED Rutgers, 78-0. That's a 78 percent discount, people.

But, being a no-spine corporate chain like they are, Ruth's Chris got a little nervous about giving away filets at the cost of a Double Whopper Meal, and so they rescinded (part of) their offer. Now, the Facebook page is conveniently edited to say "up to 50% off."

Yeah, probably a deft business decision. But they should definitely let Michigan players get the discount as originally promised—they'll need a lot of protein after last night.
