Hey Internet, Thanks for the Webbys

Winning a Webby is an honor for us online media types, and we're positively stoked.

This morning, we here at Motherboard woke up to a truly wonderful surprise: Our "Click, Print, Gun" video won a Webby Award for best individual documentary episode as well as a Webby People's Voice award, while "Long Shot" was named an honoree in the same category. Winning a Webby is an honor for us online media types, and we're positively stoked.

Motherboard's mission is pretty simple: We're here to find the people and stories that are shaping our near and distant futures. We do it for a pair of reasons: First, it's alternately fun, unsettling, and fascinating work; more significantly, we chase after the stories that catch our interest, not simply because we think they'll rack up views, but because we think they're valuable for our readers and viewers. That's why we're especially happy to have been awarded the People's Voice award. It means a lot to all of us here at Motherboard that you gave us so much support. Thank you!

We're doubly thankful for the support because it helps us do more of the work we want to do—which isn't limited to becoming the next Guns & Ammo, I assure you. If you haven't already, subscribe to our YouTube channel. We promise we'll keep bringing our best.
