Blackhawks Execute Picture-Perfect Powerplay Goal

They made this look far too easy.

For the Chicago Blackhawks' top line, scoring is often as easy as tic-tac-toe.

On Thursday night, the boys decided to get their own, on-ice version of the classic game going, but theirs involved toying with the New York Islanders' penalty kill instead. Artem Anisimov finished off this gorgeous passing play after a perfect one-time, cross-ice pass from Patrick Kane, who we've seen make plays like this time and time again (but it never gets old).

Aside from rocking a pretty good mullet on occasion, Kane maintains another feature that allows him to constantly stand out on the ice—he's really, really good. A particular skill that Kane has mastered, on top of his insane stick-handling ability, is passing the puck. He threads the needle like this to his linemates on the regular, and when you see it result in a goal as nice as this one, it's impossible not to appreciate his magic.

Anisimov and Artemi Panarin, last season's rookie of the year, found instant chemistry on a line with Kane since the unit was put together early on in the 2015-16 campaign. Though they have been split up for brief periods of time, the trio has spent most of the past two seasons together, putting up a combined 310 points since being assembled. They've been especially lethal on the powerplay, with almost a third of those points (95) coming with the man advantage.

Although we've still had enough of the Blackhawks and all their stupid winning and success, there may be nothing more visually pleasing in the NHL than watching a Kane-led powerplay execute goals like that.
