Postcards from a Space Shuttle Autopsy, by Vincent Fournier

Art photographer Vincent Fournier recently took his “Space Project” to the Kennedy Space Center, just before the final shuttle launch, to produce these sad, science-fiction-inflected photographs in and around the Orbiter Processing Facility.

Art photographer Vincent Fournier recently took his “Space Project” to the Kennedy Space Center, just before the final shuttle launch, to produce these sad, science-fiction-inflected photographs in and around the Orbiter Processing Facility. There, the last of the thirty year old crafts is now being broken down forever, before it gets shipped down the street to a museum amusement park.

If you missed the video we made about his trip, you can still watch it here, forever.
