Florida’s freshman catcher J.J. Schwarz just couldn’t leave it at three. He had to go and crush a fourth home run to dead center field against Stetson on Tuesday night. His teammates taught him a lesson, though. After shuffling his way around the bases one last time, his teammates gave him the silent treatment and pretended like he hadn’t just had a very good week in one night. Schwarz realized what was up pretty early on and started high-fiving the invisible teammates who did want to share in the moment and eventually his real teammates finally joined him.
It’s always a little weird that so many team-building jokes involve being jerks to each other, but everyone knows the deal, it’s just a bunch of alphas having fun. As a side note, this announcer has a baseball voice from the 1940s, which is also kind of fun.
