Future Classic Is Coming to North America, and They Brought This Mix Along with Them

Due to the success of their now high-profile stars like Flume, Chet Faker, and Flight Facilities, Australian label Future Classic went from an indie hub a world away to a mainstay in the music biz. Still, the label has always stayed true to its eclectic lineage, playing home to a variety of stranger sounds with psych outfit Jagwar Ma, Touch Sensitive’s synthy disco, and George Maple’s electrified crooning, and owning a space between the underground and everything that operates above it.

Now after a summer of festival takeovers and a hometown 10th anniversary bash in which the label literally took over the Sydney Opera House, Future Classic is coming to tour in North America, with a series of events slated for Brooklyn’s Goodroom, MoMa’s PS1 (Ta-ku’s first ever North American performance), a stage at TomorrowWorld, and more, including a performance from FLUME in Los Angeles.

Ahead of their continental invasion, founders Nathan McLay and Chad Gillard have prepared a mix peppered with many of the label’s artists as well as some others acts who will be appearing alongside them on tour, from HNNY to SOPHIE.
