LONDON - ON THE HOUR

On The Hour was one of the best things that ever happened to "the radio." It was like someone had grabbed the gizzards out of The Private Eye, funnied the hell out of a bunch of issues that may or may not have existed and somehow made itself more relevant than a weeks worth of Question Time. The show was the fecund breeding trough for The Day Today, Brass Eye and the careers of Chris Morris and some guy called Alan Partridge (aka a lot of the good stuff that came out of British TV in the last decade). The original transmissions were a total pain in the ass to get hold of up until today when our buddies at Warp thoughtfully made the great decision to remaster, re-package and re-release them all in one handy box.
