A cornet is a Japanese bread snack stuffed with chocolate custard that resembles some sort of brown-toned larval bug. They are tastier than words can describe. Photographer Shinya Aizawa was worried that the cone-shaped pastry had become so familiar to Japanese society that it had lost its novelty value, so he made this photo series of extremely stylistic set pieces with a giant cornet to remind people that cornets are weird and goofy. Well, mission a'freaking-ccomplished, dude. He also wrote this stirring epigram to the cornet. Shhh! Listen!CORNATION by Shinya Aizawa There's no food as ridiculous as the cornet. Why does it taste so normal compared to its unique shape? Why did they have to make the chocolate in the top and bottom so unbalanced? Why does it look like a piece of poop? Why doesn't anybody say anything about its eroticism? If you think this series of photographs are nonsense, it's the cornet's fault. Not mine.[gallery]
