Grimes is dope and that’s a well known fact. She’s also an avid consumer of popular music (that’s part of what makes her own music and production so good), and can always be relied upon for a decent tip or two.
Last night, she shared ‘The Faé List’ on Spotify. In an Instagram post she explained what it is (essentially a list of recent-ish songs that she’s enjoying):

Description: songs i love.. tryin’ to stick to independent artists, not always possible tho, and gnerally [sic] artists who write or produce their own shit. Artists I feel a kinship towards in some capacity. its a good energy for gaming or drawing in particular
Though she noted that she plans to rotate it “semi regularly,” for now the female-heavy list includes tracks from SZA, Mitski, Grouper, Kelela, Lil Uzi Vert and a bunch more. She also makes room for Cardi B’s number one single “Bodak Yellow,” and its chart rival Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do.” She’s nothing if not diplomatic.
