Man City take 2-0 Lead on Pretty Goal Featuring a Backheel and Nutmeg (UPDATE)

Man City look to go through to the round of eight in the Champions League.

Manchester City took a 2-0 lead in the final minutes of the first half against Dynamo Kiev on a nifty bit of hustle from Sergio Agüero, Raheem Sterling, and David Silva. Agüero got things going with a sensational touch to snare and control a deep ball, and as he twisted around looking for room to maneuver, Sterling snuck behind him and made a run for the goal line. Agüero flicked it back with the studs of his cleats and Sterling had plenty of space to work with before the Kiev defenders converged on him. As they did, he nutmegged Yevhen Khacheridi and sent the ball across the mouth of the goal to Silva, who guided it home.

Agüero posted City to a 1-0 lead early in the match with a surgical strike off a set piece in the 15th minute. Silva took the corner kick and Yaya Toure was able to head it down in front of Agüero who hammered it past the Kiev keeper, Oleksandr Shovkovskyi.

Update: Yaya Toure just gave City a 3-1 win, forcing Kiev to go back to The Etihad and win by three if they want to advance, with a nasty strike. City controlled the ball in front of the Kiev goal for some time, patiently passing around until finally Toure and Fernandinho worked a quick back and forth that let Toure get moving in space and he was able to curl it past the keeper.
