Fan Wanders onto the Track During Singapore Grand Prix

A fan wandered out into the middle of a Formula 1 race in Singapore. Seems like a bad idea.

The Singapore Grand Prix was delayed a bit today because a fan decided he was just going to stretch his legs and went for a nice little walk on the race track. This strikes me as the sort of thing that should not happen. Several people had to mess things up for this man to wind up walking feet away from cars designed to drive as fast as possible.

First, we start with our friend, the walker. Hey man, maybe don't do that? Maybe don't decide to, as the broadcasters put it, "casually stroll" through a fucking Formula 1 race. I may be projecting my own personal policies on you, but it just seems like a bad idea. Then we can address the presumed measures race officials failed to take to prevent a person from taking his evening constitutional during a car race. Surely there are people to prevent such a thing.

No marshalls at these kind of gates no wonder he got on track pic.twitter.com/oB6ohiQu7x

Ah. Well then.

Anyway, the man scooted back out through another opening in the fence and escaped unscathed after race leader Sebastian Vettel spotted him and the safety car was sent out.
