The Creators Project Falls For France

The birthplace of The Creators Project plays host to an ongoing series of creative partnerships and a live event series with Birdy Nam Nam.

The Creators Project has a special relationship with France. The Palais de Tokyo in Paris hosted our very first event back in 2009, when The Creators Project, as we know it today, was little more than a wild and crazy idea. We never expected the project to grow so fast and so quickly, so to show our appreciation, we’ve chosen to do something really special with France this year. We’re setting up shop in the country that produces some of the world’s greatest culture, bringing our usual array of groundbreaking visual and audio experiences advanced by technology, to a series of festivals and cultural events.

We’re also hosting an event series with French DJs Birdy Nam Nam that will kick off on June 22nd in Paris. At these events you’ll be able to meet the artists, discover the genesis of their new album, and learn more about the technology behind their creative process.

During our partnership with Coachella in April, we collaborated with some of the world’s most innovative artists and musicians to produce several large-scale installations and stage collaborations as part of our new arts initiative, The Studio. The LED light and sound cube by United Visual Artists that became the mainstage at Coachella, then traveled to the Nuits sonores festival in Lyon, where it transformed into a monolithic totem and entrance to the festival. We’re planning on taking several of the installations created with The Studio, including Superscript²’s Modular Ship, on the road with us— adapting them to the different environments we encounter in France.

Following up on our experiences so far this year at Coachalla, Nuits sonores, and most recently at La Gaite lyrique, we’ve embarked on partnerships with other festivals and creative entities around France including Cannes/Arte, a residency with La Gaite lyrique, WeLoveArt, Name Festival, Marsatac, and Paris Fashion Week
