Netflix’s New 80s Women’s Wrestling Drama is Your Next Binge Watch

Watch the exclusive trailer for 'GLOW' starring Alison Brie and Marc Maron.

In the mid-80s, a hastily shot pilot for a series called the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, turned into an over-the-top wrestling soap opera featuring actresses, models and stunt women trying to bust into show business. It was a glitzier version of the camp production of the World Wrestling Federation and blended Vegas showmanship with some real athleticism.

Also, Sylvester Stallone was one of the show's star "managers" a la Vince McMahon. Now the world of G.L.O.W. is finally getting the modern spotlight it deserves with a new Netflix original series about the drama behind-the-scenes, starring Alison Brie as a wrestler and Marc Maron as a cheesy, washed-up director trying to bring the G.L.O.W. show to life.

Executive produced by Orange is the New Black's Jenji Kohan and Tara Hermann, this is 100 percent your next binge watch.

GLOW premieres on June 23.
