Multidisciplinary artist Juliana Huxtable, DFA affiliate Juan Maclean, and dance music pioneer Jellybean Benitez will all perform in Brooklyn this Thursday in support of a campaign to repeal New York City's Cabaret Law. The event was organized by Boiler Room in collaboration with advocacy group Dance Liberation Network, whose Let NYC Dance campaign is currently connecting signatures for a petition to repeal the so-called "no dancing" law now.

The event will take place from 11 PM to 4 AM at Bushwick's House of Yes, and it will also feature sets from include Anané Vega, Jonathan Toubin, Mobile Mondays DJs, and LiteFeet Nation. The lineup is designed to highlight all the different generations of sounds that NYC has been host to over the years.In March, Dance Liberation Network and interdisciplinary advocacy group NYC Artist Coalition met with New York's cultural commissioner to present policy changes and discuss potential solutions to the issues facing DIY spaces. Hundreds of people convened at Brooklyn's Market Hotel for the meeting, which was had a major focus of repealing the Cabaret Law.
