Without searching very hard, you can find any number of reasons to never log onto Twitter; it's a cesspool of trolls, 140 characters is not enough to have a discussion that goes anywhere but the toilet, people are generally terrible to each other when anonymous, etc. etc. etc. But today, we're going to talk about why you should log on to this hellhole: free tix.

During the Stanley Cup Final, the Nashville Predators were giving away free tickets to fans on Twitter who used a specific hashtag in their tweets. A bunch of fans sent tweets and the official Predators account would slide into a random fan's DMs and give them the good news and instructions for how and when to pick them up. One fan got tickets to Game 6 on June 11. He found out about it on July 17.

Please enjoy this sad story, in three acts:

The good news for Mr. Fudge is that although he missed out on a chance to go to a Stanley Cup Final game, he did not have to personally witness the Pittsburgh Penguins win their second consecutive Stanley Cup on his home ice. Still, you never know what kind of good luck an individual fan possesses; maybe if Fudge is in the building the Predators push the series to a seventh game. Unfortunately, we'll never know because one guy didn't check his notifications.

Even when you're not using it, Twitter can ruin your day.
