At least four people are dead and three more wounded.

A man witnesses described as wearing only a green jacket killed at least four people and wounded three others after opening fire with a AR-15-style assault rifle at a Waffle House in Antioch, Tennessee, Sunday morning, according to Nashville police.

Three people died at the scene and a fourth died after being taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron said.

The man fled the scene on foot after a Waffle House patron wrestled the gun away, and was later reported by police to be walking naked along Murfreesboro Pike. Police describe the man as white with short hair.

"If you see a nude guy walking around, call the police immediately," Aaron said, according to CNN. "We believe he may be the suspect in this.

Authorities are asking for help finding Travis Reinking, 29, who is the registered owner of the vehicle that the gunman arrived in.

Nashville police are pursuing Reinking, who was last seen in a wooded area reportedly wearing black pants and no shirt.

It could have been much worse. Waffle House customer James Shaw Jr., 29, waited in the bathroom until he heard a pause in the firing and ambushed the suspect, disarmed him, and tossed the gun over the counter, according to CNN.

"He is the hero here, and no doubt he saved many lives by wrestling the gun away and then tossing it over the counter and prompting the man to leave," Aaron said.

A manhunt is underway for Reinking, who is believed to be armed and was arrested in July 2017 for entering a restricted area around the White House. The Secret Service said he was trying to set up a meeting with the president.
