Deftones’ upcoming record Gore is set to be one that creatively pushes the band harder than ever. Yesterday, they premiered a new song from the record, “Hearts/Wires.” The track appeared on Daniel P Carter’s BBC Radio 1 Rock Show where he and Chino had a quick chat after the song played. The track is far more threadbare than a lot of the band’s other work, creating a delicateness in its verse before launching into a more emotive and heavy chorus. IT does what the band has proven to do best, create a dichotomy of huge and subtle all on the same track, in a fresh and addicting way.
