A couple weeks ago Madrid-based band Hinds and NYC troupe Public Access TV played Music Hall of Williamsburg. It was the penultimate show of their many, many weeks long American tour. Were they exhausted? Fuck no. Hinds were dancing down the front during PATV’s opening set and Hinds’ show culminated in an epic stage invasion where half the venue decided to join in the love in. We’ve been obsessed with both bands for years now (read our in-depth profile on PATV here), writing about Hinds over a year ago when they were still called Deers, so really it was a Noisey wet dream (sorry, not sorry) that they ended up on tour together.

Singer John had this to say about the whole experience: “This tour ruined my life. Those girls got me to start smoking cigarettes, drinking beer, eating fast food… I even curse now! Seriously though, this was the most fun tour i’ve ever been a part of. We’d eat breakfast together, stay at the same hotels, party every night… it felt like summer camp. I love them and I’m dealing with serious post tour-depression. PATV + HINDS 4EVER.”

And the girls? Well they offered more brevity in their statement: “They just made life better. Now I’m in love and i’m alone.” The latter line, by the way is a lyric from PATV’s latest single “In Love and Alone” (watch the brand new video for it above). It really must be love.
