Ill-Advised Cubs Fans Celebrate by Enacting Metaphor of 108-Year-Long Trust Fall

There have been a painful number of bad decisions being made around how to celebrate the Cubs’ first World Series victory in 108 years. Take, for example, fisticuffs, or early morning mobbing the streets, or someone giving the municipal OK sign to make the Chicago River blue…er? (above)

But then, all of a sudden, things veered into the meta, as Cubs fans have taken to living out the real-life metaphor of the 108-year-old trust fall that has been being a Cubs fan—by falling off of extremely tall objects.

No, this is not your office retreat with a low-ropes course and a Costco supply of graham crackers. This is some tall-ass, drunk, backwards falling into groups of people who may or may not catch you, and may or may not be waiting (time after time).

Apparently, the shennaniganery has only been escalating since right after the big win, as the parade today has created a new rash of fall-downers:
