Right now what I probably listen to, I’m probably listenin’ to Future, and this is honestly what I’m listenin’ to. The Weeknd. I like The Weeknd. Anything with Jadakiss on it, Omelly. Jordanne. He’s a singer artist, like, and I ain’t sayin’ these guys just cause they signed to me, like you know what I’m sayin? These are guys I really listen to all day. Jordanne, he’s soulful. I like that soulful music.

Rihanna’s “Stay” as performed by Vin Diesel is perfect, and if you disagree then we cannot be friends. It’s all there in Vin Diesel’s disconcertingly strong baritone: as textured, layered, and full of stories as his left bicep. Between the shadows, gravitas, and Vin Diesel’s pre-torn designer jeans, one universal truth is revealed: Vin Diesel is probably completely hairless all over.

Giuda – “Wild Tiger Woman” b/w “Maybe It’s All Over Now”
I love simple. That’s not to say that Italy’s Guida write songs for drooling, it’s just that their approach, which incorporates glam and 70’s/early 80’s UK punk seamlessly, is straight-forward, good old-fashioned rock n roll. Think Cock Sparrer with big beats/hand claps and you have the idea.

Their last LP Racey Roller quietly became a favorite of mine and with the new single “Wild Tiger Woman” b/w “Maybe It’s All Over Now”, they have another set of sugary, foot-stomping favorites. Radioactivity – Self-titled
What have I been listening to this week? Well does it count if I’ve listened to Radioactivity’s album 4,700 times since I woke up this morning? Once in the shower, once when I was eating breakfast, and then 4,698 times as I was forcing people to listen to it and being like, “Isn’t this good???” But really, I don’t care if anyone listens to it. I listen to it and it instantly raises my mood level from Bummersville to Fuck Yeah! Town. If I had to pick a favorite song, I’d probably pick a little tune called “The Whole Fucking Record” but narrowing it down a little further, I’d go with “World of Pleasure,” Don’t Try,” and “The Last.”

Purple – “Feel Alone”
For the past two days it’s been all about Purple’s Salvation EP, a glowering, witchy, doomed brand of sexy slo-core electronica. Not too much is known about Purple, apart from he’s a Portuguese dude living in London and he’s part of Shlohmo’s WEDIDIT collective. I wish I could post the entire EP, but it’s not out till November 5, so this track—akin to a classic cut of UK garage slowed down 550% and played through a stacked speaker sytstem smothered in molasses—well, this tune will have to do.
