Ital Reworks Sabla’s “Spirits” into a Hazy Friday Techno Party

As “one of the ducks” from Italy’s wonderfully named, and rather mysterious up and coming collectives—Gang of Ducks—Sabla recently unleashed his debut EP for the label entitled Spirits. Following suit with many of the imprint’s releases thus far, the producer’s release presents an ethos of hypnotic darkness. And who better to take that M.O to an even more effective level than the revered techno dude Ital?

On the Chilean-born DJ/producer’s rework of Sabla’s title track “Spirits,” he serenades us with the potent brand of tense, hazy techno that’s he’s become revered for, teasing the listener with unraveling bells and bass all the way until the near seven-minute finale. Alike many forms of effective techno, the rework builds and builds, only to eventually disassemble back into itself.  

Who said a Friday techno party can’t have a drop (or get weird)? No one. Ever.
