A drunk driver in Abbotsford, British Columbia, got bugged out by the amount of police on the streets, so he pulled up alongside a cab, parked, and hopped into the backseat. As he climbed in, he allegedly told the driver, "Get me out of here, buddy, cops are everywhere tonight."

Unfortunately, cops really were everywhere that night—the "cab" the drunk driver jumped into was actually a police cruiser, and admitting that you're trying to hide from the police is not a great way to start a conversation from the back seat of a cop car. According to the National Post, the cop-cum-taxi driver took the drunk guy to the police station and was kind enough to grace the internet with a tweet about it.

The Abbotsford Police Department have been tweeting out image macros inspired by incidents like this as part of their "Annual Driving Excuses Week" to promote road safety awareness. The online campaign has hit over 250,000 views as of this morning, according to their tweet. Here are a few more gems.
