NEW YORK - A THING FOR SKATEBOARD PEOPLE

Do you like skateboarding, streetwear, and energy drinks (aka you're exactly the kind of reader people always accuse us of catering to), as well as being able to casually tell your friends that you spent the afternoon in Harlem? Then you will probably be very interested in this skating dealie called

King of Spring

tomorrow afternoon in Thomas Jefferson Park. It's being hosted by

Billy Rohan

, Alex Corporan, and the NYC Parks Department of Skateboarding, which apparently exists. I don't really have much to tell you that the flyer doesn't (click below for the heinous-looking thing), other than that it probably starts at 11 AM and not 11 PM, and that it should be pretty rad. Last year they were literally handing out cash to people for pulling tricks, so if you're actually a good skateboarder you should get on that. Don't worry if you're more like me and just like standing around and complaining about how it's too crowded to skate. Bonus points if no one's wearing the same hat as you.
