This Jump-Roping Light Sculpture Never Gets Tired

If you need a bit of motivation to get active, look no further than animated, jump-roping light sculpture Loopy Lou. By day, he looks like an abstract framework of knobby wires. By night, however, Rémi Brun‘s glowing blue fitness enthusiast is an indomitable force of rhythmic strobing and bouncing. Here, Loopy Lou is seen capturing the eyes of spectators at the Staro Riga Light Festival 2014. As camera operator Atlaj Rigu racks his lens’ focus, the illusion becomes even more clear. All the light sculpture needs now are some leg warmers, and he could have his very own 80s workout video.
