Catching Up with Haiti's Rising EDM Star Michael Brun

Michael Brun, who is featured in 'Sounds of Solidarity,' discusses his Haitian heritage, remixing Alicia Keys, and his path to EDM stardom.

Haitian DJ Michael Brun has become one of EDM's most impressive success stories. In the span of a mere year the Port-Au-Prince-born DJ and producer has played the Ultra Music Festival mainstage, headlined (and totally shut down) Coachella's mammoth Sahara tent, and has kept it steady with a slew of high-profile remixes and festival smashing originals.

Recently at the W Hotel in Los Angeles we got the chance to get a little one-on-one time with this impressive and humble young gentleman to discuss the impact his Haitian heritage has had on his buzzing career. At THUMP we pride ourselves in being able to spot a star—and Michael Brun's future is surely looking like a shining one.
