Coutinho Scores on Vicious Curling Free Kick, Liverpool Piling on Against Arsenal

Coutinho has two goals so far today for Liverpool, and his first one was a stunner.

Liverpool are destroying Arsenal this afternoon at the Emirates and they are doing so with gorgeous goal after gorgeous goal. In the final minutes of added time of the first half against Arsenal, Coutinho got things started with a dazzling equalizer for Liverpool from considerable distance. The midfielder was awarded a somewhat soft free kick when Rob Holding, making his debut for Arsenal, grabbed him around the shoulders and he went down to ground quickly and easily.

Nevertheless, he still had to take the kick and, good lord, did he ever deliver. From some 30+ yards out, Coutinho hit a screaming, curling ball into the very top corner of the net that even the tall and lanky Petr Cech couldn't get a finger on.

Coutinho then helped set up Liverpool's second goal just three minutes into the second half, and got his second goal minutes later, when he redirected a cross that Nathaniel Clyne smoked into the goal area, again leaving Cech helplessly flailing. But it didn't end there, Sadio Mane got into the act a short time later, with a lightning quick individual effort before launching a rocket into the top corner of the net, again (again!) giving Cech no hope.

Liverpool now lead Arsenal 4-1 and Jurgen Klopp seems pretty OK with it.

Update: OK, it's 4-3 now and I don't even know how it happened because this game is crazy and every time I think I'm done writing this post something else happens. Enjoy the final 15 minutes or so.
