Following the Ravens 21-7 win over the Tennessee Titans, John Harbaugh had some fiery words for his team that he tried to keep for his team's ears only. Unfortunately, CBS went ahead and broadcasted them to everyone. Harbaugh was referencing Baltimore's 43-23 thumping from the division rival Pittsburgh Steelers the week before when he launched into a speech about toughness and other locker room rah-rah stuff.Perhaps realizing he was going to say something Pittsburgh might find annoying, or maybe just because he knew he was going to curse, Harbaugh stopped mid-speech to find out who the cameras were with and to instruct them not to use the following portion of his speech."That team beat us last week. OK. Alright. Then they went and got their asses kicked this week." Harbaugh did not mention them specifically, but we know who he's talking about; the Steelers got their asses kicked this week by the New York freaking Jets. This wouldn't even be the moderate intra-divisional bulletin board material it now is—and they won't play each other again this season unless it's in the playoffs—if CBS paid attention to Harbaugh seconds before, but they messed up and aired it everywhere. CBS later apologized to the Ravens for the error, but at least we all got to see how our post-game speech sausage gets made.[CBS]
