A few months ago we heard new material from Darcy Baylis, recording under his own name for the first time. "How Can I Live" was a strong move from the young producer, a contemplative club hit with plenty of heart. Fellow Melbourne artist Amateur Dance also specialises in deep-thinking house music. Each of his tracks use carefully chosen sounds and samples to maximum emotional effect. The pairing on this remix then is perfect. If Darcy's original was an impassioned dancefloor at 1am, Amateur Dance's remix is that same room hours later, moving in a dreamy, distant daze.
