At the end of the day, Jeff Mills is all about the future. Having honed his craft over the past twenty years, it is what is next to come that interests The Wizard. His sound in itself is otherworldly, music that transgresses traditional performance boundaries to deliver a journey through space and time. A journey, of course, that tends to travel at around 140 bpm.In just two days time, La Bacchanale, Montreal's most reputable underground event promoters, have harnessed one of Jeff Mills' most notable inspirations to produce a cerebral party with the intention of transcending space and time as we know it.

Mr. Mills will be performing alongside the towering, ominous Monolith, a testament to the mystical relationship between timelessness and human understanding of ourselves, made famous of course by 2001: A Space Odyssey. Friday's party will actually be loosely themed around the movie, and will consist of two rooms—the Time Tunnel, and the room owned by the Monolith. The event space is yet to be disclosed, but we have confirmation that it will be in a seriously massive cinema studio in St. Henri.Check out the teaser video below. Ring the bells, as well as the new year with us on Friday, and we can guarantee you won't be disappointed.
