“It’s Alright,” the latest track from San Francisco’s Permanent Collection, is a head-bobbing synth-pop dreamer. The four-piece brings you all your favorite fuzzy, shoegaze-y vibes in a song about the poignancy of love and the human condition. The video will make you wish Permanent Collection were your best friends. The band plays with their food at a deliciously greasy diner, but not before hijacking a dude’s car as easily as pressing “Y” during Grand Theft Auto. After downing some 40's in the backseat, they head to a party to chill in coffins and play with sparklers. Solid.Jason Hendardy, previously of Young Prisms, began Permanent Collection as a solo project in 2011, but picked up guitarist Brenden Nerfa, bassist Megan Dabkowski, and drummer Mike Stillman later in the year to round out a full band. The new album, Newly Wed, Nearly Dead, is set for release on August 7th on LogLady Records (you’re welcome, Twin Peaks nerds). With the combined talents of Monte Vallier (from Ruminator Audio and Swell/Half Church) and Kramer (Low and Galaxie 500 producer), we couldn’t be more excited for the rest of the album. To quench your Newly Wed thirst for now, you can listen to another preview song right here.
