UM TAPA NA CARA DE DEUS - DIABOLIC FORCE

OK, we know we already called curtains on the Brazil Issue but we've still got one more Brazil-themed A Fist in the Face of God. There were just too many bands to choose from (apologies to Muitlator, Vulcano, etc.) so I'm gonna go with a new-ish band covering what is, for me, one of thrash's greatest moments. Hellhammer's "Massacra" is the song; the band is Diabolic Force.

I stumbled upon Diabloic Force last year, under a magpie's sky, while I was hungry for thrash. They'd covered one of my metal grails, "Massacra," in the classic 80s Brazilian thrash way. I can't find much information on this band except that they set out to recreate the glory days of Brazilian black/thrash/death, and in the meantime build a following of their own. They appear to have disbanded since releasing two demos back in 2003, but both are well worth checking out.

Right, so I'm going to try my best to theme each weekly post to whatever theme the magazine is that week. The next post by me will therefore be related to The Conversations With Distinguished Gentlemen Issue. Quite where metal figures in that I'm not entirely sure. Answers on a postcard please.
