George H. W. Bush's sons may have begun new lives in the private sector painting portraits and driving Ubers, but the former president and Reagan VP is still keeping his eye on politics and has reportedly decided to cast his vote for Hillary Clinton, Politico reports.

According to a Facebook post by Kathleen Hartington Kennedy Townsend, Bobby Kennedy's daughter, Bush Sr. told her during a meeting in Maine earlier this week that he plans to vote Democrat this November.

Bush has, up to this point, refused to endorse Trump, and didn't attend the recent Republican National Convention where the Donald was officially crowned the nominee, but has not publicly come out against the GOP candidate, either.

Townsend confirmed to Politico that Bush told her about his support for Hillary on Monday, but a spokesman for the elder Bush would neither confirm or deny the claim.

"The vote President Bush will cast as a private citizen in some 50 days will be just that: a private vote cast in some 50 days," spokesman Jim McGrath told Politico. "He is not commenting on the presidential race in the interim."
