We Had a Cookbook Party in LA Last Night

We brought the party for our new cookbook to the West Coast. (Hey, have you bought the book yet?)

In case you haven't noticed, we've been celebrating our new cookbook MUNCHIES: Late-Night Meals from the World's Best Chefs recently and last night we decided to bring the party to the West Coast. The Ace Hotel in Downtown LA was the perfect launchpad for what turned out to be a lively evening filled with music, booze, and, of course, lots of amazing food.

A little music from Them Jeans and a whole lot of Tiger beer helped set the tone, while chefs Alisa Reynolds, Armando de la Torre, Brad Spence, Jessica Koslow, and Wes Avila prepared hearty late-night bites like mortadella torpedoes and fried shrimp grilled cheeses that made us feel like we were on an actual taping of Chef’s Night Out, the inspiration for the book.

Everyone went home with a generous tote bag of Sir Kensington's "Condiments with Character" and blurry but beautiful memories of a party that celebrated consumption in its most beautiful forms. We got to see old friends like Roy Choi and Matty Matheson and made a whole bunch of new ones.

So, on behalf of the whole MUNCHIES team, thanks to everyone who made this evening the banger that it was.
