The first few months of seeing someone new are fun, but they can also be a headfuck. You have to work out if your lives fit together in any real way. You have to enjoy each other's company while also having space to breathe. And if you like them, you have to try not to be a shitty human, which is hard if you're used to being a shitty human (which most of us are let's be honest). This new track from UK rapper Maxsta, "Skkkr", is all about those feelings and how you navigate them. The video, which we're premiering below, sees the MC walking around the grey, concrete streets of London, which if you live here, will probably remind you of those times you've needed a walk around the city, just to get your head in order.

The clip was shot and directed by Kalvadour Peterson, who did J Hus' "Common Sense" video and also mentors videography students at FLOOR SIXX (a project run by DJ and broadcaster Sian Anderson and grime mainstay Jason Black). If you're into live music, photography and docs (who isn't?), then you should definitely head down to this all-day event that they're throwing at London's Roundhouse next month, on 20 October, because it blends all of those things together. It's been organised by the students, and will start with a videography and photography exhibition, followed by a live show, followed by an afterparty. When it comes to the music, Kojo Funds is going to be there. Chip is going to be there. Nadia Rose is going to be there. Shola Ama is going to be there. Afro B is going to be there. Need we say more? Basically everyone is going to be there, so you should be too.Peep the flyer below, click here to see more information and get your tickets from Roundhouse, Dice or Ticketweb.
