Masrour Barzani, chancellor of Kurdistan’s Security Council and son of Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani, is one of the most important figures in the international coalition fighting Islamic State (IS) militants across Iraq and Syria.
In an exclusive interview with VICE News conducted in northern Iraq, the chancellor discusses the limitations of Western support to the Kurdish forces fighting IS, and the challenges that will be faced when attempting to retake Mosul this summer.
