Little Simz is one of the best rappers currently working, and this morning she has made a very welcome return with her second studio album, Stillness In Wonderland.
Having previously teased listeners with two tracks taken from the record – “Poison Ivy” and “Picture Perfect” – Simz has come good and released Stillness In Wonderland in full today. The album is salve for a year hard lived, and is lively with Simz’ trademark vivid storytelling and the witty bars that set her apart from everyone else currently doing it.
It also includes features from a roster of the most creative artists currently working on both sides of the pond: Syd, Chip, Ghetts and Rihanna collaborator Bibi Bourelly all appear. And whilst the album might be coming as 2016 draws to a close, a record this exciting is bound to be a mainstay in your earphones for a while yet. Long may Simz reign over us all.
