There’s nothing more satisfying than being right in an argument, but sometimes you need to properly chill the fuck out and put down your ego. Los Angeles folk rockers Magic Giant provide a zen soundtrack for letting go in a new performance video of “Set On Fire.” The gig was filmed by Audiotree North at Toronto’s Longboat Hall. Audiotree is a music discovery platform known for these high-quality live sessions, interviews and more. The song is from Magic Giant’s 2017 In the Wind album and has nabbed the group international notice, charting top 30 in Billboard’s Alternative chart. Singer Austin Bisnow sings on the chorus, “Which one of us set on fire? ‘Cause we both went up in smoke.”

The group wrote to Noisey, saying, “This session was the morning after WayHome Music Festival and we were very much in the half-asleep dreamy state that a festival hangover can bring. It was dark and moody with the summer creeping in through the old windows of the warehouse, which was a perfect fit for the songs and the feeling of the day. “Set on Fire” is about letting go of the angst of arguments and realizing it doesn’t matter who’s to blame, we’re in this together.” Watch Magic Giant’s “Set On Fire” above.
